Reconstruction of the first stage deironing station


Installation and commissioning works on the reconstruction of the first stage deironing station at the mineral water bottling plant have been completed.
After the commissioning of the first stage of the project, it became clear that the use of a filter with a BIRM load is necessary to remove manganese from the water.
Therefore, our specialists decided to integrate one of the filters loaded with BIRM material into the filtration system between the sand filter and the TURBIDEX loading filter (sequence of filters: SAND – BIRM – TURBIDEX). For greater efficiency of the deironing process, the supply of source water to the tank through a special nozzle for saturation of water with air is used.
As a result, complete removal of iron and manganese from the water was achieved without the use of any reagents.
Pneumatically operated valves are used to control the operating modes.
Filtered water is used to wash the filters.
Backwashing of the filter loaded with quartz sand provides a stage of water-air washing that allows to increase washing efficiency. A blower with the capacity required for iron oxidation is used to supply air
The automation system makes it possible to apply several levels of flushing control:
• regular mode – either by time or by loss of pressure.
• abnormal modes, due to the control of the system of quantitative parameters – or in case of emergency, or at the request of the operator.
Thus, the automation system allows you to have a completely controlled and informative water treatment system, both for workers and for engineering and technical personnel.
